Does eggs causes cardiovascular diseases?

Researches have shown a major link between high cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases. High-cholesterol foods include eggs. This created a debate instead of settling things. So to know more about what this deal is, we prepared this article for you.

First let us understand what this huge on-going debate is about cholesterol and its effects on a body.

The Department Of Health And Human Services gave out this guideline for Americans from 2015-2020. It stated that people should consume foods that have cholesterol in them, as little as they can.

But those guidelines that were following those scientific reports said that one should not be concerned about having a little too much cholesterol in their diet.

A large egg has 186 milligrams (mg) of cholesterol in them.So eating 3 to 4 eggs in a week increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases by 6%. But this was denied by many other researches.

Many other researchers said it is not right. This research was done mainly on Americans and they eat not just eggs in the morning but bacon and sausage with it. These two are very high in cholesterol too.

So saying that eggs are unhealthy and should not be added in diet at all is completely wrong.

Eggs have high level of cholesterol just in the yolk of it, so an egg without yolk is completely healthy to eat.

In fact, chicken eggs as a whole are full of vitamins-A,B-2, selenium, B-12 and folate. Chicken eggs are also a great source of protein and anti-oxidants like lutein. These are extremely healthy for your body. Other nutrients that eggs have are omega-3 fatty acids. These are both brain and heart healthy nutrients.

So this study was not exclusively about eggs but other dailyfoods that people eat with them. So not eating eggs is unhealthy. To maintain the cholesterol level, you cannot just remove one item from your diet. You need to keep an eye on your diet overall and take care of it.

High cholesterol in a body is related to heart diseases soit is very healthy to be concerned about it. So moderation with every food item is very important to live a disease-free, long and healthy life.
